El artículo aborda la actualización del diagnóstico de la preparación de los docentes de la especialidad Forestal de los Institutos Politécnicos Agropecuarios para dirigir la incorporación de la Educación Ambiental y la Tarea Vida en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje y en el proceso pedagógico en general. Se muestran los resultados obtenidos con métodos de nivel empírico y técnicas de investigación aplicados, se ofrecen las potencialidades y carencias determinadas que pueden contribuir a mejorar la preparación de los docentes con respecto a este tema, considerando que los docentes que imparten la especialidad no son graduados en esta y en general dedican la mayor parte de su autopreparación a los contenidos de la especialidad, restándole importancia a la Educación Ambiental y al enfrentamiento a las consecuencias del cambio climático.

The article deals with the updating of the diagnosis of the preparation of the teachers of the Forestry specialty of the Agricultural Polytechnic Institutes to direct the incorporation of the Environmental Education and the Life Task in the teaching-learning process and in the pedagogical process in general. The results obtained with empirical level methods and applied research techniques are shown, the potentials and certain deficiencies are offered that can contribute to improve the preparation of the teachers with respect to this subject, considering that the teachers who teach the specialty are not graduates in this and in general, they dedicate most of their self-preparation to the contents of the specialty, downplaying environmental education and confronting the consequences of climate change.
