Cultura científica y educación universitaria en Cuba: aproximaciones desde la perspectiva CTS / Scientific Culture and University Education in Cuba: Approaches from the CTS perspective

Resumen


En este ensayo se realiza un análisis de la cultura científica y la educación universitaria desde la perspectiva de los estudios en Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (CTS). Igualmente propone aproximaciones a la comprensión de los problemas existentes en el país, los relaciona con otros resultados de investigación de otras áreas de saber e invita a pensar en las posibles soluciones que apremian. Medita sobre cómo transcurren esos procesos culturales y educativos desde un campo de saberes (CTS), cuya esencia es el desarrollo de la habilidad analítica de conectar, desfragmentar y transrelacionar procesos, desde un entendimiento científico contextual global/local como apremio ante los procesos de multicrisis en los que vivimos, y de los que Cuba, en sus propias diversidades y complejidades históricas no se encuentra exenta.

In this essay an analysis of the scientific culture and the university education is realized from the perspective of the studies in Science, Technology and Society (CTS). It also proposes approximations to the understanding of the problems existing in the country, links them with other research results from other areas of knowledge and invites to think about the possible solutions that they are pressing. Meditates on how these cultural and educational processes take place from a field of knowledge (CTS), whose essence is the development of the analytical ability to connect, defragment and transrelate processes, from a global/local contextual scientific understanding as a prerequisite to the processes of multicrisis In which we live, and of which Cuba, in its own diversities and historical complexities, is not exempt.

In this essay an analysis of the scientific culture and the university education is realized from the perspective of the studies in Science, Technology and Society (CTS). It also proposes approximations to the understanding of the problems existing in the country, relates them to other research results from other areas of knowledge and invites us to think about the possible solutions that they require. It goes into such effects, in meditating on how these cultural and educational processes proceed from a field of knowledge (CTS), whose essence is the development of the analytical ability to connect, defragment and transrelate processes, aspects that are not always developed in all potentialities that are inherent to it, from a global / local contextual scientific understanding as a prelude to the processes of multicrisis in which we live, and of which Cuba, in its own diversities and historical complexities, is not exempt.
